Well it was several weeks ago that the sale on the shop was complete and since then it’s been having a bit of a refit.  There’s been lots of ripping out of ceilings and kitchens, knocking down of walls, rebuilding of walls, plastering, rewiring, plumbing, painting and decorating and things are certainly heading in the right direction.  We are really looking forward to moving in and getting cracking on it and today Kate and I have finally been able to start getting our little Port and Lemon HQ organised!  It’s small but perfectly formed but we’re used to being creative with our work spaces so this shouldn’t be a problem for us.  Here’s a few before and afters to whet the appetite…….The first is the front section of the shop.  There’s still a little work to be done, lights are going in over the next couple of days and skirting need to be sorted but the floor looks amazing.  The middle section was originally a kitchen area but now becomes the back of the shop.  Lights and skirting to go in but essentially there!  The new Port and Lemon head office is in the back room, it’s now painted and we’re getting sorted and creative with storage space but excited to be moving under one roof at last.  Finally the gallery/workshop which is currently holding the contents of Kate’s old studio but it is looking very light and airy, no floor yet and a sink to go in (hopefully!) and it’ll be there.  It shouldn’t be long before we’re open, no date firm date yet but hopefully it will only be a little while longer.  Watch this space for updates………
